Way back in January at CES 2008 we first heard of the Beats by Dr. Dre headphones from Monster. The headphones promised new technology that would bring sound quality to headphones that was not previously seen in consumer grade products. The catch was the price was right at $400.

Monster has announced that the Beats by Dr. Dre headphones will be available on July 25 and will be exclusive to the Apple store and Best Buy. The headphones are being aimed squarely at users of the iPhone and iPhone 3G as well as iPods.

The headphones will ship with a monster iSoniTalk headphone cable that will work with other music enabled phones in addition to the iPhone and allow for mute and answering of calls. Another bit of good news is that the headphones will retail for under the price previously announced. Buyers can get the headphones for $349.95, which is $50 less than what we heard in January.
