Samsung Instinct coming June 20 to Sprint |
We have talked about the Samsung Instinct before here at SlipperyBrick. This week Sprint announced that the phone would be available on June 20. The price for the device will be $129.99 after a 2-year contract and a $100 mail-in rebate.
The Instinct was originally pegged at a price of $199; Sprint surely felt pressure to drop the price after the iPhone 3G came in at $199. The Instinct looks very similar to the original iPhone, though it adds a couple buttons to answer and disconnect calls to the front.
Sprint says the Instinct will work on its EVDO Rev A network for high speeds and will have access to live TV streaming. The Instinct will ship with a 2GB microSD card and can accept up to 8GB microSDHC cards. The phone also ships with two batteries, each offering up to 5.75 hours of talk time. A carry case and a stylus are included as well.
