New Sanyo digital camcorder loves lots of faces

Sanyo Xacti HD1010

Sanyo rolled out today a new 1080i digital camcorder which features face detection technology for both videos and stills. It is called the Sanyo Xacti HD1010 and you’ll find it pricing around $800.

The compact Sanyo Xacti HD1010, besides recording in 1920 x 1080, uses face detection to adjust brightness and focus on up to 12 faces at a time. This digital camcorder also sports a slow-motion video mode for recording at 300fps which plays back at 60fps as well as shooting up to seven frames per second for digital image capture.

Other features of the HD1010 include a weight of 9.9 ounces, SD/SDHC memory card storage, 4-megapixel digital images and a 2.7-inch image display. It will be available in July.
