Jamie Tomkins 2020 hybrid bicycle is a concept vehicle that came out of a GE Plastics Automotive competition. The design addresses China’s pollutions problems, since it would be constructed from cheap metals and plastics, plus the design should capture the hearts of Chinese motorists. You know, since it looks like a toy and all. It seems like a natural evolution. As a kid, you have your Big Wheel, then when you grow up you graduate to this two wheel version.

Fantastic design and not really all that “toy” like when compared to current BMX and motorbike designs. These gadgets will really cut down on smog as more people drive motorbikes than cars in China and most of the far east.
Agreed with Gadg that it doesn’t look that toyish to me — more like a sport bike inspired design in some ways, though I don’t know what’s up with the unifork
Uniforks can be a lot lighter (think Cannondale Mountainbikes) - provided the anticipated stresses aren’t too high. Perhaps weight saving is a big part of economy on a battery powered vehicle?
