Qingbar GP300 video glassesYelloMosquito introduced its Qingbar GP300 wireless video glasses with built-in media player and Divx support late in 2007. At the time the glasses were billed as the world’s first wireless video glasses with Divx and a built-in media player.

What makes the GP300 wireless is the inclusion of an internal rechargeable battery that allows everything to be self-contained. An internal miniSD card slot allows content to be loaded into the glasses easily and an EQ mode is built-in.

The twin LCOS mini displays simulate a 50-inch viewable image from 2M away. Supported video formats include MP4, MPG, AVI, ASF (MPEG1/2/4 and Divx 3.x/4.x/5.x and XviD). Ebooks and Jpeg images are supported as well. The display resolution is 432 x 240. The glasses were originally offered for pre-order at $299 and that price is now available permanently.
