DOORKICK helps keep your car looking new

Posted in Automotive by Shane McGlaun on May 21st, 2008

DOORKICKI bought a new car not too long ago and it seems like every time I get in my wife or kids have added some new scratches to the plastic interior panels from kicking the doors open. I have often wished there was something that could keep the interior panels form being scratched.

A product called the DOORKICK looks like it may be just what I need to keep the door panels looking new. The product is made from a soft foam base and a vinyl material that sticks to the lower part of the door with an adhesive that can stand up to high temperatures inside a car in the summer.

The adhesive promises easy removal with no residue left behind as well. The product is cheap at about $7 for a pair. The catch that I see is that the product isn’t that attractive and appears to only come in one color. Too bad the product isn’t made from a clear material that lets the color of the panel come through. UPDATE: The item comes in five different colors so you should be able to match your interior.

Hi Shane. TheDOORKICK.com just launched a few weeks ago and of course I’ve been getting lot’s of respsonse about how much people need The DOORKICK and they think it’s a great idea. But, one of the most popular comments is “you should see the inside of my car door”. Well, I want to see the Dirtiest Car Doors out there. I’m on the hunt for THE DIRTIEST CAR DOORS! I’m asking everyone to send in a photo of their scuffed and dirty interior door panels where they kick open the door. I will pick and post the winners on July 1st. More details are at thedoorkick.com or you can submit your pictures by emailing me at contactus@thedoorkick.com. I’ll post the winning pictures on the site 7/1/2008 and send out Free DOORKICKS to the winners. It will be fun!
