Creative Vado Pocket Video CamWe are living in the YouTube generation right now where seemingly everyone is putting videos online of themselves or friends doing stupid things, signing or otherwise making a complete ass of themselves. To facilitate the ease of capturing video for online use lots of specialized, low cost video cameras have popped up and the latest is from Creative.

Creative has introduced the Vado Pocket Video Cam that retails for $99.99. The camera can be had in silver or pink colors to suit the guys and the ladies. According to Creative the Vado is dramatically lighter and thinner than other cameras on the market and can still capture high-quality video.

The Vado measures 3.9” H x 2.2” W x 0.6” D and weighs 84g with the battery. The camera has 2GB of onboard memory and can record video at 640 x 280 resolution. The camera has decent low light performance with 3.8 lux setting. While the camera has no optical zoom, it does feature a 2x digital zoom. The mic for recording audio is built-in. Recording format is MPEG-4 at 30 fps and the onboard storage is good for 120 minutes at good quality and 60 minutes at excellent quality. The battery charges via USB and is good for 130 minutes of recording.
