SpaceNavigator for Notebook launches

SpaceNavigator for NotebooksI’m sure some of the real on-the-go types that work with 3D graphics and such all the time will find this device very useful. I used to own one of the full size SpaceNavigator devices and I am obviously not the target demographic for the device because I just didn’t find a use for it.

However, with the recent announcement that the SpaceNavigator will be SecondLife compatible mobile SecondLife fans might find the thing useful. 3Dconnexion says that the SpaceNavigator for Notebooks is more compact than the normal desktop device and weighs about half as much.

I recall the desktop version weighing a ton so it still might not be as portable as real mobile types want. The notebook version is supposed to function just like the fill size SpaceNavigator making it easier to manipulate objects in a 3D environment. The MSRP for the device is $129 and it will be available in early May.
