Audi Snook, the smart one-wheeled car
How do I stop this crazy thing? The one-wheeled Audi Snook looks like a cross between a top and a…top with an Audi logo. I’m with you, it’s seems insane, but this auto-stabilized monowheel design concept won German student Tilmann Schlootz a Michelin Challenge Design Award 2008 at the Detroit Auto Show.

The entire interior is just a seat and a joystick. Doesn’t look like it has much leg room. Alright, so how on Earth does this vehicular lightbulb stay upright? “Agility through instability, controlled by artificial intelligence — that is my formal issue,” answers designer Schlootz. Um, thanks for clearing that up. I’ll stick with putting a spherical Michelin tire under my computer chair for now. It’s probably safer.
