Alienware said today it is bringing back into its fold of desktop computers a popular model with revised features. The Alienware Aurora will price, depending upon configuration, at under $1,000.

The specialty computer maker said this desktop fully equipped has a quad core AMD Phenom 9850 Black Edition CPU and dual ATI Radeon 3870X2 GPUs with 2GB of combined, dedicated graphics memory. It also offers a fully-integrated AMD Spider/ASUS 790FX-based platform, up to 4TB of hard drive capacity and 4GB of DDR2 memory.

Other potential add-ons include a Blu-ray Disc drive, Windows Vista and eight high speed USB 2.0 ports. This revised desktop is available now.
