it’s actually a very clever design. the tonearm/needle assembly pivots and controls the speed of the motor, so as the van tracks closer to the center of the record, it slows down to compensate.

I saw somewhere that they were doing a VW Beetle version of this too, looks fun, but normally if you have vinyls, you have space for a deck of even hifi too.

It functions great, these were really popular in the 70′s, the bus has a phonograph needle which simply follows the groove, at 33 rpm, the speaker is located on the roof, and wheels propel it

Ever so clever, but I just doubt the functionality. How does the bus adapt to the continuously changing curve?
