LionKing800 mobile phone claims to have long-life battery with a 1 year standby timeThis Chinese mobile smartphone doesn’t appear much different form many of the mobile devices on the market today but the manufacturer is claiming that it does have at least one significant difference. The makers of the the LionKing800 are claiming that it has high-capacity battery that gives it up to “about” 365 days of standby time and 3-5 days of continuous talk time.

It does have a 16,800mAh lithium battery which is significantly more than you would probably find in your current cellphone, so maybe it could be possible if the phone sat in a dark, quite room without being touched for a year. Either that or someone is just confused.

Other features of the phone include dual SIM cards, Bluetooth, camera, keypad and stylus input, MP3/MP4 player, eBook reader, stereo speakers, and its available in Chinese and English for about $145. Aside from the battery nothing seems to out of the ordinary to conserve power but this is something we’d like to see.
