USB Speedometer tracks typing speed and distance

USB Speedometer keeps track of your typing speed and amountWe saw the USB lamp that would change colors depending on your typing speed, but it really didn’t tell us much in the way of just how fast we were typing. This USB Speedometer computer peripheral does, though.

Not only will it measure how fast you type but it will also keep track of the total words so you can tell if it’s actually the fastest typist or the slow and steady worker that wins the race. The WPM gauge pegs at 260 so if you’re going faster than that you’re on your own (and will be setting some records). The word count can likely be reset when you’d like to start the count over.

The USB Speedometer connects to your computer via USB and has some included software for taking in the measurements. It’s expected to be available March 14, retailing for £19.99 (about $40 USD).
