Rejected Star Wars promotional products

Rejected Star Wars promotional products
No matter what the movie or property, there are always some ideas that just don’t fly. Especially when it comes to the mega-merchandising of Star Wars. Some are neat, while some are better left unspoken of. Back in 1999 when Jar Jar was born, Pepsi and Lucasarts brainstormed and came up with a bunch of Star Wars promotional products. These are the rejects.

How about a Han Solo carbonite fridge? The Death Star cooking meat in the form of a grill? It’s a shame that these never came to be. I mean, how cool is an AT-AT Walker chair caddy? Or a Darth Vader gumball machine that dispenses mini death stars. See them all after the jump.

hehe just kidding… star wars is pretty cool. I’ve seen some pretty stupid stuff merchandised, and this isn’t that terrible. I mean, you can’t beat the action figure of Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru (charred). At least these things I’d actually buy.

  6. Nox Says:

Well rub my nipples and slap my ass, if that ain’t some cool shit! They gotta start selling that there stuff to people! Still doesn’t beat Asian hookers though!

  7. the truth Says:

Anybody interested in making some in exchange for other items on this list? Not selling the item for a profit means not violating copyright. Also Lucas usually enjoys seeing fan stuff.

And the only reason why these would have been rejected is the marketing team did not research Star Wars fans, and how we will buy anything that looks decent dealing with the movies.
