Wii Guitar Hero III disc replacement program

Guitar Hero III disc replacement program
Some Guitar Hero III owners for the Wii have been stuck in mono for months now, after a problem with some of the games. At long lat Activision is finally ready to start issuing replacement discs.

According to some end-users, Activision is now sending out pre-paid envelopes, so customers have to ship back their faulty GH III disc and wait “3 to 4 weeks” before getting the new, stereo-enabled one for free. I hear ya, fans. That sucks! Some of you can’t live without your favorite game for that long.

Well, make sure to have signature upon reception if you’re sending your game disk over. 2 of my friends are in the same situation that I am: we sent the game about a month ago and the idiots lost our disks…

This morning, I received a magnificent guitar face plate offered by Activision. This is great stuff, but would you mind sending me the replacement disk as well so I can start playing this game already? Thanks.

    Hello,

The repalcement house has not yet received your disc. Until they receive your disc they will not be able to process your repalcement. If you have any further questions feel free to contact us.

My son is in a similar situation. I reviewed the instructions with him and saw him put the disc in the return mailer and watched him hand deliver it to our postman. We’ve since been told that they got the mailer but there wasn’t a disc in it. We are still waiting for a resolution. My advice is to take a picture of the disc with the mailer and get a postal return receipt (even if the mailer is prepaid) - just in case this happens to you and you need documentation.
