Doing Mach 1 bread slicing with the TP180

robot-bread-slicer.jpgSoccer mom Sally needs to make a lot of sandwiches for the upcoming soccer team family picnic she is planning. She also happens to love a local bakery which never slices its bread. What’s she to do? Cough up around $2,750 for the super fast Robot Coupe TP180 bread slicer.

The TP180 is really more designed for the professional kitchen or deli, but could probably get some use at home if you really love sandwiches. This slicer can whiz through a loaf of bread in nothing flat, producing up to 180 bread slice per minute. You can also shove baguettes into it, getting around 360 slices in the same amount of time.

What’s nice is you can also adjust the thickness of the slices from 8mm to 80mm. That’s perfect for creating that ideal peanut butter and jelly sandwich over and over.
