Best Buy begins console trade-ins

Best Buy begins console trade-insNow there is another place that will take your old game console, if it’s collecting dust in some closet. Best Buy is willing to take it off your hands. One thing though. And it’s odd…This new service won’t let you just drop off your old hardware at the local store. You have to ship it off to them.

On Best Buy’s site, they have a trade-in page, which is handled by dealtree.com. Just select the console you have, and provide a few details. Then you’ll receive a quote, if you’re ok with the amount, then print off a shipping label. Your money will come to you as a Best Buy gift card in a little over a week. It’s not just consoles, you can also trade in a variety of other electronics too.

Problem is most people want the money NOW and they don’t want to be forced to buy something from BB.
