Sony adds new digital picture frames

Sony S-FramesSony is looking to inject its own brand of cool into the digital picture frame market by unveiling this week a new line of frames. The Sony S-Frames will be available in three models and range in price from around $140 to around $250.

The three models in the Sony S-Frames are the 7-inch DPF-V700 and 9-inch DPF-V900 digital photo frames as well as the 7-inch DPF-D70. All frames have WVGA resolution (800 x 480 pixels) along with 15:9 aspect-ratio screens and black bezels. They also include an advanced image processor that scales and displays images up to 48 megapixels.

Other features of the S-Frames include 10 slide show variations, clock and calendar views, and two index modes so you can preview several photos at once. They will all be available in March.
