Virtual Wii games get “The Shaft”
The Shaft is another way to control all those Virtual Console downloads sitting on your Wii menu. The wired, 6″ x 11″ arcade-style stick from Overline Gaming merges the arcade joystick with the styling of the Wii.

It features analog control for N64 games as well as digital “resting points” in the eight primary directions for old school gaming. The general consensus seems to be that people like the feel of the shaft (I know. I know…) It will certainly bring that old arcade feeling back.

You can pre-order some for January. The December stock is sold out. The price is $39.95. Or get 2 shafts for only $69.95!

    I think it looks stupid. And too big. And btw, usually the L and R buttons are on the top so index fingers will get to them when thumbs are busy hitting other buttons. How am I supposed to hit the Y and L buttons at the same time, especially with such a big controller?

    @Glen

    Um…dude…have you ever played an old school arcade game?…. Did you use your thumbs for it? I sure hope not, though it would be vastly entertaining to watch you try.
