BodyGard self-powered emergency tool

The BodyGard Self-Powered Emergency Tool is like a high-tech Swiss army knife, without all the knives. Consider it the MacGuyver of emergency tools. You get 12 devices in one, along with a hand crank, so you can generate power when and where you need it, on the spot. Never worry again about your flashlight, MP3 player, cellphone or radio running out of juice.

It also comes with a flashing red light, a panic button for emergencies and a motion-activated security alarm that alerts anyone around you in the event of an emergency. They obviously took advantage of every square inch of the device. It even has an integrated storage compartment for pills, matches and other tiny items. The price is fairly amazing as well at only $21.99.

    this looks really cool.

is it only available for purchase online?

if its sold in stores, any idea which ones would carry it? walmart?

  2. Conner Flynn Says:

    Hi Joel,

I believe it is only available from Thinkgeek.com, but I may be wrong. If I learn anything else, I’ll let you know.

  3. Double Agent Says:

I own this device but cannot find anyplace that sells wires to fit into the cell/mp3 charger jack. Or even better, I’d like an adapter that goes into that jack and creates a USB jack. This device should have a USB jack in the first place!

Thanks in advance for any specific info.

  4. Elliot Says:

Double Agent, I’m wondering that too. I don’t have one yet, but I’m considering it. However, it would have to be capable of charging my iPhone. Unfortunately there’s an extreme lack of details about how the cell phone charging jack is supposed to work.

  5. Double Agent Says:

Hey Elliot - the manufacturer’s website finally added an accessories kit with various adapters for ipods and cellphones. I’m gonna buy it, and I’ll post a review here to let you know if it works.
