Wilson hands-free cell cradle boosts mobile signal |
Limited cell phone coverage in remote areas and driving while cradling your mobile to your head can be two dangerous issues for car drivers. Wilson Electronics hopes to eliminate both issues by introducing the Cradle Plus, a cell phone car cradle with a built-in antenna.
The Wilson Cradle Plus, when used in conjunction with an amplifier and external antenna, lets one do hands-free conversations which get a boost in cellular signal range. Wilson says its gear offers 10 times the power of a typical phone and can work with boosting either a single mobile or multiple mobiles in a car, depending upon the kit purchased. The cradle itself is adjustable to fit a variety of phones and can be mounted via several options.
Pricing on the Wilson Cradle Plus is around $250 for the single cell phone boost model and $460 for the multi-boost one. The kits include the cradle, amplifier, mount-roof magnetic antenna and other items. They should be available shortly.
