The Soladey Ionic no toothpaste toothbrush |

Now here’s an interesting new concept in dental care. Throw out the paste. Instead of using toothpaste, the Soladey Ionic Toothbrush uses energy created from light.(fluorescent tube, light bulb or the good old sun) It converts light into negative ions which when mixed with saliva and water can clean the bacteria from your teeth. This is all thanks to a titanium ionic conducting rod which creates the negative ions. It kills the bacteria and gets rid of bad breath.
I hear ya. What about that minty fresh feeling? Well, I suppose you could keep a tube of toothpaste around just to satisfy your strange craving. Or maybe they could make the bristles on this new brush have a minty flavor. Let’s face it though, if any of the old ways worked, your dentist would be obsolete. So give it a try and let light-activated cleaning keep you fresh.

Of course the old ways work! If you brush properly with the modified bass technique after meals (three times daily) and floss daily, biofilm is then disturbed and gingivitis is prevented. Going to the dentist is critical in the early detection of caries, high blood pressure (that is assuming you are a patient who goes faithfully every 6 months), periodontal disease, debridement of aquired pellicle, and the list goes on.
I don’t think this toothbrush is a good idea, however. How is someone suppose to remineralize their enamel without flouride? Therefore, toothpaste is still necessary!
Melissa, you are stupid.
a brush like this is a great idea! and melissa is stupid.
The scientific concept is sound and worth giving it a try. I have ordered one with a built in battery.
If Melissa wants minty fresh breath, I suggest a mouthwash after. If Melissa is concerned about structural tooth care, you can get tooth mousse to “feed” you teeth.
