Sick Brick: Lost In Space B-9 Robot |
Welcome to Sick Brick. This is a new type of post we’ll be doing now and again which highlights some cool item for sale somewhere online. It’s not necessarily a new product but something us editors here at SlipperyBrick think is worth pointing out. Some items will cost lots of $$$ while others you might be able to pick up at a dime store. Enjoy…
Our first Sick Brick item is a nostalgic sci-fi robot from the past. This genuine animatronic Lost In Space B-9 Robot, priced around a jaw dropping $24,500, is 6-1/2 feet tall and can speak some 511 prerecorded phrases. All phrases were done by Richard Tufeld, the original voice of the robot from the television series. The most famous phrase, for those a little fuzzy in the brain on this robot, is “Danger Will Robinson! Danger!”
B-9 is made of fiberglass, acrylic, aluminum, and steel parts, with details of this robot being created from original molds. Its various parts can rotate, flash and animate. All of this is controlled by a remote. The sound system is 240-watts. You can also pull out the power pack to get a vocal shut down as was sounded from the show.
Things we’d love to seek on the B-9: iPod dock, drink serving tray, wireless video camera and trained kung-fu moves.

At $24,000 the robot better clean my house and take out the trash…lol The price rag for the B9 Robot has nothing to do with the cost of parts you are paying for a name thats all. Its crazy. The put the price out of reach of every normal person and put it in the hands of rich people. Thats whats wrong with this country everyone thinks with their pockets and not their hearts.
