Pentax unveils ultra-thin 8-megapixel digital camera

Pentax Optio V10Pentax is getting ready to roll out a new 8-megapixel digital camera with a very slim form factor. The Optio V10 will be priced at around $250.

The Pentax Optio V10 is quite slim with its 3/4-inch aluminum alloy body. It sports a 3-inch LCD monitor with a 170-degree viewing angle. Zoom features include 3x optical and 4x digital, giving a total zoom capability of 12x. It also comes with shake reduction, face recognition and auto picture mode functions.

Other features of the V10 include video recording, date imprint, red-eye correction and PictBridge support. The camera will be available in November.
