Myvu, a developer of video eyewear, announced today a version of its product which works with other portable media devices besides the Apple iPod. The new Myvu Universal Edition is priced at around $200.

The Myvu Universal Edition comes with a connectivity kit which should allow it to let you watch videos off of many portable media devices like mobile phones, portable media players, portable DVD players and camcorders. This video eyewear offers up something of an ergonomic design, up to four hours of rechargeable battery life and noise-canceling in-ear earbuds.

And, just in case you do want to connect an iPod to this universal eyewear version, Myvu is planning soon to sell an accessory cable which will let you sync the two devices. The Myvu Universal Edition should be available shortly.
