Sony today introduced a new low-cost notebook line which keeps fashion in mind. The VAIO NR series has a starting price of around $750 and should be available starting next month.

The Sony VAIO NR series comes in three different colors, all sporting a 15.4-inch LCD display. Select models in this line have an Intel Core 2 Duo processor. Other features which can be found on this laptops, depending upon the model, include 802.11 wireless technology, DVD/CD burner and four USB ports.

The new VAIO NR laptops seem to be a good price range for your typical college student. They definitely look nice, though its hard to say how well they will stand up with hanging out next to a Mac notebook.
