Maxtor OneTouch 4Seagate is gearing up for the holiday shopping season by unveiling the latest generation of its popular Maxtor OneTouch external hard drive backup solutions. The Maxtor OneTouch 4 family is available in three models and various hard drive sizes starting now.

The Maxtor One Touch 4 family offers up a new, better software suite to make data protection and security reportedly more easy to control. Features include the ability to perform multiple-computer data synchronization, drag-and-drop encryption and a bare metal system restore. Some of the drives have also gotten a face lift, sporting a new “industrial” design.

The family breaks down into two desktop and one portable models. This is a nice degree of variety for helping to best solve your backup needs. The drives work with the Windows XP, Windows Vista or Mac OS X operating systems.
