As the FT article reads, it hasn't had this much success since the SNES's reign in the first half of the 90's.I hate to ruin the Xbox and PS3 fanboys' hopes but I will expect that the Wii will have a lasting legacy on the market just like the NES did, and by next generation all systems will have motion sensitivity, but not crudely designed like the PS3's.The only real question that haunts us now is not who will win this generation, but who will step up to the plate next generation when Sony withdraws (as they said they might a year back). I presume Apple will, since they're dominating the rest of the entertainment market with their iPods and iPhones and will want to compete with Microsoft, their old PC rival.

I think it’s nice that Nintendo is finally getting the respect it deserves.
