Microsoft Mobile Memory Mouse 8000Repeat after me…Microsoft Mobile Memory Mouse, Microsoft Mobile Memory Mouse, Microsoft Mobile Memory Mouse. Tongue tied yet? Silly name aside Microsoft unveiled today what could be an interesting notebook mouse - the Mobile Memory Mouse 8000, priced at around $100 and available next month.

The Microsoft MMM 8000 (not real model number but I’m tired of typing out the title) is designed for those who want to cut down on excessive USB port hogging on their laptops. The mouse has 1GB of flash memory on board for storing files, uses a magnetic charging system for keeping it up and running as you work and can connect to a PC wirelessly via 2.4GHz wireless or Bluetooth. All that and it looks pretty to boot.

Microsoft’s thinking with the MMM 8000 is that by freeing up USB ports you’ll probably want to connect more USB devices to your laptop. The company hopes of course you connect its products and not a competitor’s.
