Canon today introduced a new compact photo printer it says is easy to operate and offers new creative print functions. The Canon SELPHY ES2 Compact Photo Printer is priced at around $200.

The SELPHY ES2 Compact Photo Printer sports a three-inch LCD screen which can be tilted upward for easy viewing. It has what is called an “Easy Photo Pack” system, meaning paper and ink are loaded at the same time. Users can create photos without a computer, choosing from a variety of creative options like 16 different templates to frame postcard-sized photos and new clip art options to add illustrations.

It’s a no brainer some people don’t want to hassle with loading photos onto a computer before creating prints. This printer seems like a good option for those folks, especially so they don’t end up archiving gigs and gigs of photos on hard drives.
