Archos, maker of a number of cool, higher-end media players, is now bringing its smaller 5th generation Archos 105 to the U.S. adding to the already-high competition present in this mini media player market.

It comes in colors of black, red and silver and in only a single capacity configuration of 2GB. Inside the super-slim 0.3″ frame the player supports playback of MP3, WMA and WAV audio files. What really makes this player is the fact that it also takes advantage of a 1.8” OLED display at 160 x 128 dpi with 262,000 colors to play WMV files so you can take your recorded TV episodes with you. And of course you can view still JPEG’s with it, too.

An internal rechargeable battery gives the little player 18 hours of playback for audio and the people at Archos are thinking ahead by giving it upgradeable firmware through downloads from the website. The overall dimensions of the 105 are 1.8″ x 3.3″ x 0.3″ and it weighs only 1.8 ounces, making it verny compact and reasonable media player for the $90 price tag it has on Amazon.
