Sony Ericsson Announces K770 Cyber-shot Phone

Sony Ericsson K770 Cyber-shot 3.2 megapixel cellphone cameraSony Ericsson announced today the K770 Cyber-shot pulling triple-duty as a mobile phone, digital camera and mobile photo album all in one 14.5 mm thick package. The K770 is a GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900 and UMTS 2100 mobile phone with a multitude of additional features packed in.

Sony Ericsson K770 Cyber-shot slim mobile phone with a 3.2 megapixel cameraWhen you slide open the lens cover the gadget converts itself to “digital camera mode” giving you a viewer on the 1.9 inch screen along with additional short-cut menu buttons for the cameras operation. Photos are taken at 3.2 megapixels and can be stored onto MemoryStick media (comes with a 256MB card). Photos or video can be transferred to a PC through USB.

The K770 also includes a media player, FM tuner, video calling, speakerphone, a sound recorder, Bluetooth and video streaming to name a few of the many features. The dimensions are a mere 105 x 47 x 14.5 mm and can deliver up to 10 hours of talk time and 400 hours of standby time (in GSM).

The Sony Ericsson K770 comes in a Truffle Brown color and is expected to be available in “select markets” in Europe sometime this fall, hopefully come to the US shortly after.
