DXG is back in the news today with a pretty inexpensive digital camcorder said to capture full-motion video in near DVD quality. The DXG-572V is priced at around $150 and is avaiable now.

The DXG-572V, recording in MPEG-4 format, records 640×480 at 30 frames per second with sound. The lens on this digital camcorder offers 4x digital zoom and can also be used as a 5-megapixel digital camera for capturing digital images. 32MB of internal memory and a SD memory card slot offer up storage options for your media files.

Other features of this DXG camcorder include 4AA batteries for power, a built-in digital voice recorder and A/V output to view pictures or videos on a television. The DXG-572V doesn’t seem that sexy or sophisticated compared to other camcorders we’ve wrote about before but it does at least offer a few tricks for your $$.
