Sprint “Dear John’s” 1,000 Customers |
The cellphone company Sprint has recently sent out break-up letters to 1,000 of its customers stating that they are going to terminate their contract in 30 days, giving them until the end of July to find another carrier.
These 1,000 customers were not necessarily singled out and let go because they weren’t paying there bill or were breaching any agreements, but they were just too needy according to the company.
“Our records indicate that over the past year, we have received frequent calls from you regarding your billing or other general account information,” stated a form letter sent out to these high maintenance customers. “While we have worked to resolve your issues and questions to the best of our ability, the number of inquiries you have made to us during this time has led us to determine that we are unable to meet your current wireless needs.”
Sprint has been given low scores in customer service rankings lately from places like MSN Money, which makes us wonder how the customer service folks at Sprint convinced their management to fire the customers an not them. In this case it looks like Sprint’s take is, “It’s not me, it’s you”.
