Otterbox iPhone Case

Posted in Otterbox, iPhone Accessories by Darrin Olson on July 19th, 2007

OtterBox iPhone CaseOtterbox is well-known for making tough and waterproof cases for mobile phones, PDA’s, iPod’s and even cases to keep your cigars safe and dry, so it’s no surprise to see that they have one coming out for the Apple iPhone. But it is a surprise to see that they don’t have one out yet nor do they even have a set date. The company has only said that the case is still months away from being released.

The design shown here looks promising with a cover that gives the iPhone a “semi-rugged” protection and completely covers the device including touchscreen with a patented membrane that should still allow full functionality. The buttons are are all accessible by pass-through buttons on the case and plugs will cover up the headphone and dock ports which can be removed to utilize them without removing the entire case.

If you’re looking for a quality, tough case to protect your iPhone, based on their reputation this one from Otterbox might be worth waiting for. Unfortunately we’re going to have to either find another temporary solution or just be real careful while we wait for this one to be released.
