Nokia Prism 7500 mobile-phoneSometimes it’s good to be different and stand apart from the crowd. Just because the iPhone has rounded corners does that mean all mobiles should shy away from 90-degree angles? Not if you consider Nokia’s new 7500 Prism phone which just had its first official appearance at an industry event in China.

The quad band phone has a diamond shaped keypad as well as a diamond grooved backside where the camera lens is at, giving the 7500 a kind of futuristic Egyptian kind of look. Measuring 109mm x 44 mm x 14.4 mm, the 7500 Prism weighs 82 grams and is 14 mm thick. The OLED display screen measures 240 x 320 and the 30 MB of internal memory serves great for those MP3 files of yours. There’s also a built-in FM tuner, a microSD memory card slot, the aforementioned 2 megapixel camera and the Prism is Bluetooth 2.0 and USB 2.0 compatible. We’ve seen the Prism come in black and silver and have heard that it should retail for around $285 when it’s available here.
