The first thing you will notice is the attractive deep purple-on-black color scheme which is a real eye-catcher. Specs and features include a 5 row backlit QWERTY keyboard that’s revealed once you slide up the screen; a 2.4-inch QVGA 65K TFT display; 1.3 MP imager; game controllers; web browsing with Javascript support; Bluetooth connectivity; 128 MB memory (expandable up to 2 GB); Push email; IM support for AIM, Microsoft and Yahoo; MP3, WAV, MIDI, AAC, AAC+ and WMA audio file support; and EDGE connectivity (via T-Mobile.) The OS is Motorola’s Danger.

Availability of the Zante will be October and it will go for an amazing $269. Can it compete with the iPhone? We’d like to put them side-by-side and see which one is pawed the most.
