FinePix S8000fd makes for nice 8-megapixel SLR

Fujifilm FinePix S8000fdFujifilm introduced a slew of new digital cameras today. Out of the pack one which stands out is a new SLR-styled model known as the FinePix S8000fd (around $400).

The Fujifilm FinePix S8000fd is an eight-megapixel digital camera with an 18x wide angle optical zoom lens. It is the equivalent of a 27mm-486mm and offers a fixed lens design sealed to keep out dust. It offers two types of image stabilization technology to increase clarity and sharpness and allows you up to ISO6400 (at 50% resolution).

Other useful features of the FinePix S8000fd include face detection technology for bringing better sharpness to people in the image, automatic red eye removal, scene modes, VGA video recording (640 x 480 at 30 fps) and a 2.5″ LCD. We could go on listing features but I think you get the general idea that this camera is really loaded and could potentially be a good deal for its price.
