Canon SELPHY CP740 printerWith the advent of digital cameras and the ease of printing your own photos there has been a rush on making friendlier printers for publishing your own family portraits. Canon is making it easier for those of us on budgets to cut out the one-hour photo mart by bringing us the Selphy CP740, a printer that costs a penny under $100.

It’s able to turn out 4×6 color prints in a minute straight from your camera or any of the major memory card formats. The 2-inch LCD display lets you cycle through your images and make any corrections that you may need like erasing red-eye flash by just pressing a single button. The Selphy also supports IrDA and IrSimple infra-red communication. There’s also a retractable USB cord and a Bluetooth and battery pack add-ons so you can take the unit just about anywhere.
