Desk Deck

Rolling luggage card and notebook deskIf you’re waiting in the airport for your flight, or in the lobby of a hotel, or you’re working on the floor of a convention you know what it’s like when you need a flat surface to get some work done on your laptop. Working on the floor just doesn’t cut it even when you’re in college. If you can get your hands on a Hammacher Schlemmer rolling luggage cart ($160) now you’ve got a desk.

The luggage cart can handle your gear up to 36-inches, the desk can support up to 20 pounds of weight (the desk is itself 11 pounds) and it can accommodate a 17-inch wide laptop. It’s made of molded ABS plastic and an aluminum frame and can snap open with the press of a button. It can also compact up and be stowed in an overhead compartment of an airplane which makes working while traveling a snap. Sounds like this thing can make our lives a lot easier when we’re writing all those SlipperyBrick articles every day.
