Study shows the types of people that will by buying an iPhone from AppleAn online survey recently published by Solutions Research Group shows what type of Americans will actually be interested in the iPhone when it’s released on the 29th. Once we were able to wrap our heads around the idea that not absolutely everyone will be standing in line at the end of the month to get one we were to look at the numbers.

It basically broke down to 31 year old males with an higher than average income who maybe own an iPod already and it’s certainly not limited by those already with Cingular. 38% of the people polled that were with carriers other than Cingular said they were “definitely interested” in buying an iPhone, and would have to switch in order to get the new gadget from Apple. 31 was the average age, but the interest showed little differences among all ages between 15 and 49. And for those of you in New York state or California, your interest in the iPhone was double that of the nation as a whole.
