Iomega has quietly been kicking out all sorts of data storage products over the years. One of its newest, the Iomega eGo Drive, looks to continue the tradition in a stylish way.
The most striking thing about this USB 2.0 drive is its looks. It sports a curved cherry-red chassis with chrome endcaps. That’s a nice change from more generic external USB drives. I also like the fact this drive is USB powered – no more needing to pull out yet another power brick and search for a free outlet.
Storage on this drive is pretty generous at 160GB. It comes with backup software and drop protection technology to guard against drops of up to 51 inches. The Iomega eGo Drive is compatible with both Windows and Mac. It’s available now for around $160.
