HP Photosmart R937 large touch screenHP has announced nine new digital cameras but the one we’re going to tell you about is the Photosmart R937. It’s 8 megapixel resolution, a 3x optical zoom and 8x digital zoom along with 32 MB of memory already make it decent but what sets it apart from other competitors is the jumbo-sized touch screen on the flip side of the unit.

HP Photosmart R937The 3.6-inch screen is big enough to let anyone be able to crop and edit photos with ease, create slide-shows or organize them for later show and tell. The camera is compatible with all the last decade of Windows software and Mac OS X 10.3.9 and up. The HP Design Gallery software lets you do some neat tricks to your photos like remove red-eye in humans and furry friends, correct movement shaking and even offer touch-up tricks like slimming down your subjects in the shots you take. You can also buy a quick charge unit to boost back up the camera’s lithium ion battery in less than an hour if you’re in demand for your photojournalism skills. Retail price is $299 and the R937 will be available starting in August.
