Eyes in the Dark

Night Vision WebcamIf you can’t see the other person in your web cam browser image normally we would suggest that they turn on some lights but for those that crave stealth or live in the Batcave we recommend the Night Vision Web Cam from A4-Tech.

Priced at $52, six infrared LEDs convert the 1.3 megapixel shot into an image that looks like it came from someone that didn’t forget to pay their electric bill. The makers claim that their cam can adjust the color levels of the dark image into one that presents the accurate colors if the image was taken at normal illumination levels.

Extra goodies include a digital zoom function, snapshot, instant still image capture, motion tracking, automatic white balance and a no distortion promise. Also, there’s a built-in microphone and it comes with a clip so you can mount it to your laptop or screen with ease. Now all you have to do is figure out a reason why you need to be using your computer in pitch black darkness and you’re good to go.
