Ion Rugged Bodyglove iPod case with kickstandAfter spending a chunk of change on your iPod, the last thing any new owner likes to see is scratches and scrapes on the case and on the screen, and usually a protective case of some sort is a purchase made shortly after the iPod.

Body Glove, known mostly for their line of protective wetsuits, also has a line of protective, custom fit cases for the Apple iPod. This one in particular is called the Ion Rugged, and is a protective case made out of the same materials of other Body Glove products designed for your MP3 player. It has a protective, transparent layer over both the screen and the clickwheel with the black (black only) material covering the rest of the iPod to protect it from scratches and scrapes.

The reason we chose to write about this particular Body Glove iPod case was the kickstand. The Ion Rugged comes with an armband and a swiveling clip to attach to your belt or purse, but also has a built-in kickstand which allows you to prop up your iPod while playing (at multiple angles no less) to easily see what’s playing through your BoomTube. $30 gets you (well, actually your iPod) covered.
