Hear the TV Better with Clarity C120 Amplification

Posted in Headsets, Television by Chris Weber on May 11th, 2007

Clarity C120 helps the hearing impaired hear the TV betterWith age often comes some degree of hearing loss, and I’ve been witness to households where I’ve heard repeated forecasts on the weather channel at a volume higher than it ever should be.

The Clarity C120 is a wireless TV amplification device that allows those that are hard of hearing to better listen to the television without making the volume unbearable for anyone else in the house, or sometimes on the block for that matter. The headset runs on batteries and uses a wireless infrared signal to transmit the sound which means it does require a line of sight to the transmitter, but if used while watching TV you will more than likely have a line of sight anyway.

The C120 headset will also pick up the volume at movie theaters or any events where the sound is broadcasted via infrared for those with hearing loss. The Clarity C120 also has a feature to integrate the telephone ringer into the device so calls won’t be missed while using the headset.

The TV amplification device retails for about $190 and can be found at the Clarity website.
