Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z1200Casio is set to release the highest resolution compact digital camera when it rolls out the Exilim Zoom EX-Z1200 in mid-July. The Exilim will offer a whopping 12.1 megapixels of rez for your family photos making everything turn out crystal clear.

As well the Exilim will come with CCD-shift image stabilization technology, face detection software and motion analysis image processing for those snaps of the fast-moving family members. The camera comes with 11.4 MB of internal memory which won’t be enough for those huge files and if you want to take a bunch of photos or video but of course a memory card can be inserted to boost the memory to 1 GB or more.

The 2.8-inch LCD display on the backside of the unit is nice, wide and bright (1400cd/m2). You can take up to 3 shots per second (including in flash mode) and it has a 3x optical/4x digital zoom, self-timer feature and have the camera power up to take your first photo in under 2 seconds. It also has a rechargeable lithium ion battery that will give you about 8-9 hours of power. Dimensions are 3.67” wide x 2.30” high x 0.88 depth.

Look for stores to retail the black and white EX-Z1200 for about $399.
