Sony Cyber-shot Cameras Aimed at Partiers |
Sony has unveiled a new T-series line of Cybershot cameras that are targeted to the tech-conscious who want quality functionality in a camera that’s also small enough to fit easily in a pocket or purse.
The DSC-T100 and DSC-T20 digital cameras are both 8 megapixel shooters in a thin, less than a half inch profile frame, featuring a Carl Zeiss optical zoom lens. The main differences between the two cameras are the zoom ability and the size of the LCD screen. The DSC-T100 has a big 3 inch LCD and 5x optical zoom, while the DSC-T20 has a slightly smaller but noticeable 2.5 inch LCD and only 3x optical zoom.
“There’s a generation of style-conscious, tech-savvy people who want the brands and products in their lives to reflect who they are,” said Phil Lubell, director of marketing for digital cameras at Sony Electronics in a press release. “Our new T-series cameras can give these customers the form factor and advanced technologies they’re looking for.”
Due to the individuality mindset at Sony Electronics, these cameras come in colors of red,
black and silver for the DSC-T100 and in pink, white, black and silver for the DSC-T20. In addition, Sony offers 4 different types of special cases in colors of pink, red, green, grey, creme, brown and black.
The cameras also house the ability to assist with focusing by some facial recognition software to and the LCD allows users to edit the photos right on the camera, applying special effects and red-eye removal.
This new release from Sony doesn’t end with just the cameras alone, though. The T-series line also offers the ability to connect to a high definition television via cables and a special port, or with a docking cradle with remote. This allows viewing photos taken on a big screen TV with slide show functionality built in.
