Pentax Presents a New Photography Pair |
In advance of the super-sexy sounding Photo Marketing Association International Trade Show (that’s PMA to the cool kids in the photo club), Pentax has revealed the specs on two new cameras, the Optio A30 and the waterproof W30.
The A30 is DivX certified, has a 1 1/8-inch CCD sensor, 3X smc Pentax zoom lens, improved Shake Reduction technology for low-light and telephoto shots, Face Recognition software and can grab 10.0 megapixels of resolution for your photos. For its worth the W30 also incorporates Face Recognition technology and has enough battery time for two hours underneath the waves. You can also grab images underwater up to 10 feet away (at 7.1 megapixels resolution) and for those close-up shots of your fishy friends, it can capture clear macro images at under half-an-inch away from the lens.
Both cameras have Digital and Movie SR modes (30 frames per second and in 640 X 480 pixels) to reduce the effects of motion blur, have approximately 22 MB of internal memory and on their backsides feature 2.5-inch displays with anti-glare coating.
The Optio A30 will carry a sticker price of $349.95 while the W30 will run you $299.95. Both cameras will ship to retail at the end of March.
