iPod Dock Extender |
We all know the number of iPod accessories available these days, and some of them are actually kinda’ nice to have. There are many types of iPod cases available as well, but the problem is that once the case is on your iPod it increases the size of the device and the docking connector can’t reach the port anymore.
SendStation has made a small, simple and very useful looking adapter that simply extends the docking port to reach outside of the case. Having to peel off the case every time you want to dock to a speaker system or any other of the hundreds of accessories available just isn’t convenient, and depending on the case can be difficult and time consuming. The adapter just plugs into the docking port of any iPod with the 30-pin dock connector, extending it enough so it can extend into docking ports on other devices where the iPod itself would have fit into before.
The pricing availability date have not been given, but SendStation says it will be “available soon”.

This is useless for anything that has a deep cradle like the inMotion IM7 as well or any other thing that uses a deep cradle. Not to sure why they created an extender with such limited use for most of us in need of one.
hey bob, those of us who actually put skins on our ipods, then have to use a FM transmitter, then realize the skin is too thick to let us do that, will fin dthis very hand. god how many more sites are yo going to spam your response too?
I can’t say enough good about the dock extender cable I got from CableJive. Similar functionality, but gives you a little more distance between the iPod/iPhone and the dock.
